Michael Finklea
Author Mr. Finklea visited Adams on September 8th and 11th. He is best known for his scary tales Creepers and Creepers II and his funny joke and fact books. He spoke to grades K-5, shared his books, and discussed the writing process. He inspired all the budding authors here at Adams!
Tony DiTerlizzi
Barnes & Noble Booksellers sponsored author and award winning illustrator Mr. DiTerlizzi visit to Adams on September 18th. He is best known for his Caldecott Honor book The Spider and the Fly and The Spiderwick Chronicles. He read his newest release G is for One Gzonk and did an impromptu illustration. What an honor it was to have him visit Adams!
Carol Crane
The Adams PTA sponsored North Carolina author Carol Crane's visit on October 2nd for grades 2, 3, and 4. She is known for her alphabet books: T is for Tarheel, P is for Pilgrim, S is for Sunshine, and L is for Last Frontier. She also has a counting book: Wright Numbers. Her newest book: D is for Dancing Dragon is about China. We loved hearing how she creates those fabulous non-fiction books! Thank you PTA!
